This blended learning course is the complete Positive Handling course for those working with either Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults and is priced for 12 delegates.
Session 1 is the Restraint Reduction Legal Brief on the use of Reasonable Force/Theory session and is completed by delegates individually, online and at a time to suit you. This session covers all of the legalities surrounding physical intervention on one easy to navigate platform and comprises of 10 lessions, each containing a short video followed by multiple choice questions. Delegates can take this session as many times as they wish until they pass. Duration is approximately 1.5 hours depending on experience. This session must be completed and passed within 90 days of enrolment.
We then come to you to deliver your bespoke Session 2: Safer Holding, Handling, Essential Physical Intervention & Disengagement Skills for up to 12 staff (you can have more than 12, just contact us direct to discuss this and the cost for additional staff) This session comprises of easy to remember, low level physical interventions which are appropriate yet effective. All of our training is accredited, the techniques medically reviewed and manual handling risk assessed. This course enables staff to consider the holding, handling & escorting of their individual specific needs relevant to their workplace and service users. We take into consideration the size of your service users and the associated risks, your environment, any transport considerations, seated holds, breakaways and situations where staff may be left alone with a young person or vulnerable adult. Duration approximatly 2.5 hours depending on your needs.

On completion of the full course you will receive an electronic resource and due diligence file for OFSTED/audit purposes.
Resources include the training manual, instructionsl videos of all the techniques, a copy of the Legal Brief presentation and much, much more. Each delegate also receives a certificate.
Our training and the techniques are legally and medically reviewed and the course is mapped to the BTEC Level 2 Physical Intervention.
